Does Amazon ship to Nigeria?

I've written a lot about the need for a US address when buying things from US websites like Amazon, BestBuy and eBay and that's because most of those US shopping websites only deliver to US addresses even if they now accept debit cards issued by Nigerian banks. One thing I guess people would also like to know is on whether Amazon can ship to Nigeria.

Does Amazon ship things to Nigeria? Will they be able or willing to deliver items directly to one's Nigerian address after an order has been placed?

Well, as at 2015, Amazon now delivers more items to Nigeria and you can view a list of those items on this page. Items listed there would normally be marked with a phrase that reads "eligible for international shipping" showing that they are capable of being delivered outside the USA to international destinations like Nigeria. So, Yes, Amazon ships to Nigeria but I've noticed that it's not everything listed on their website that is eligible for international shipping yet.

You can find a lot of cool stuff which Amazon can deliver to you in Nigeria in categories such as books, baby items, beauty products, clothing, electronics, jewelries, shoes, video games and watches.

When you see that the item has been marked for international shipping, you can add them to your shopping cart and choose toe checkout while also choosing to have it delivered to your Nigerian address. If the order is accepted, then it will be shipped else you'd get an immediately feedback indicating that it's not eligible to be shipped to Nigeria.

So, you can buy things directly from Amazon as of today but if you do encounter problems when shopping on Amazon from Nigeria and they can't offer direct shipping to you yet, you can always make use of a US shipping company who will provide you with a US address and international shipping service as I've always recommended.
