How to ship to Nigeria from your US address

If you've signed up for a US shipping and warehousing address with a US company, one of the things you'd need to do is also decide when your items will be shipped after being received at the address and you can do this by simply logging into your membership account.

I recently ordered for some laptops on Amazon and eBay and I was give na tracking number with which I was able to track the items till they were shipped to my US address in California. After the items had arrived and were in my account, the next thing I did was to log into my account, went to my inbox to view the items and then decided on when to ship it.

If you are using a US shipping agent like MyUs, you'd be able to see the items currently available at your warehouse by logging into your account and checking the inbox, just like checking your Yahoo mail box.

After you've seen that the items you ordered from Amazon or eBay has been shipped and received, the next step is to select them and click on the button that says "Send my package". The items will then be moved to outbox and the company will start preparing them for shipment to your addressi n Nigeria using your courier of choice. I normally prefer using DHL since they offer the best service.

After you've placed an order for an international shipment, your invoice will be generated and your credit/debit card on file will be charged and you'd notice it in a debit alert sent to your email or phone on your bank account.

Once items have been finally shipped to you, a tracking number will also be given to you and you'd be able to track it using the courier's website till it gets to your doorstep. The good thing about online tracking is that it allows you to know which day the item is going to be delivered to your address.

With a courier like DHL, it takes about 5 working days to get to a Lagos address from the USA.
