I recently had a delay with one of my international packages being shipped by DHL. After I tried checking the status of the package by using the waybill number of DHL's online tracking page, I got a notification that Address information was needed.

I'm not sure why this is so because this is not the first time I'm receiving a package at the same address using DHL. Anyway, it seems that the courier might not have been able to locate my address or he didn't even bother trying.

Anyway, If you do receive any problem like this, the best thing you can do is contact DHL's customer service either with your phone, email or by visiting their closest warehouse. In Lagos, they have a warehouse at the Cargo section of the Murtala Mohammed airport Ikeja.

Well, what I did was to call their customer care number and told them my waybill number. They checked their records and confirmed my address which I told them. So, afterwards, they said they would try reshipping it again and that I also have an option of picking it up myself at their warehouse. Well, I told them to ship it since I don't really have time to come and pick it up myself.

To pickup your items directly from the DHL warehouse, you will just need to come with a valid id card such as National ID, International passport or driver's license.

After contacting DHL as you'd been advised to do, they will try reshipping your package again and if they still don't find your address, you may finally resort to picking it up yourself. I'm waiting for them to try reshipping it again.
